|During the Beacon Wars, a number of Children of the Vein scientists expressed concern over the potential for loss of research if Helocytus should be invaded. The Ethos at the time approved the creation of a vault of resources and data beyond the Thuces system, and construction began in secret on the planet Magalca. The Deep Mind, a bio-computer and containment facility, houses a large library of Vein genetic data and samples, as well as records of research and emergency resource stocks. Since the end of the Beacon Wars, the Deep Mind has been transitioned into a research laboratory, but remains a useful emergency stockpile for the Children of the Vein.

|Several Veins have sent Missionary-Surgeons, Genetechs, and other medical and genetic professionals to Telas under the banner of The Telas Mission. These doctors and scientists are tasked with providing medical care to those who desire it on Telas, researching the work of the Telas Terra Group Initiative, and providing assistance to the terraforming project on behalf of the Children of the Vein where possible.

|The Rite, Apologetic serves as a major defensive coalition for the Children of the Vein, numerous Veins united by purpose rather than leadership. Unlike more traditional military units, the Rite, Apologetic relies on the zealotry and devotion of the Veins to their cause, rather than grand strategy or generals to guide it. This often presents itself in more hectic battlefields, something the Veins make up for in numbers and the unique power of their biotechnologies. The Rite, Apologetic reinforces its troops with Bond-Mates and Bioshells, the bio-mech pilots and bio-mechs of the Children of the Vein, and Bio-Crawlers, which function as light battle tanks.

|The Rite of Absolution, Radiant is focused almost exclusively on offensive combat actions. Whereas The Rite, Apologetic hones the zealotry of its soldiers into a bulwark of faith, the Rite of Absolution, Radiant compels and inflames the fervor of its troops towards a bacchanal of warfare. Bioshells and Bio-Crawlers are less present in the Rite of Absolution, but ground forces are supplemented by large numbers of Drones, bio-robots derived from particular individuals who serve as leaders to their creations. As with the Rite, Apologetic, the Rite of Absolution has no central leadership, beyond the religious leadership of the Children of the Vein itself, but are easily capable of overwhelming enemy emplacements with sheer numbers.

|Not a single location, but rather various assemblies of experimental birthing Cocoons, Groves of Waking have been installed across Helocytus in expectation of the coming Spring. These cutting-edge pods vastly increase the efficiency and accelerated growth rate over previous generations of Cocoons, and allow for greater genetic diversity and modification for those who desire it.

|Following the sacrifice of Sharan Midnight on Mos in the creation of a new Nursery, her grove was cultivated to provide new material for the orbiting Shipping Combine, which Void Nurses worked to re-sculpt into vessels more suitable for heavy transport. Following the Beacon Wars, the Children of the Vein had found themselves left with few bioships capable of mobilizing their larger military detachments in any haste, and sought to regain this ability as quickly as possible. The transition of the Mos Shipping Combine was undertaken in the name of economic efficiency and humane practice, giving new purpose to bioships that had already been birthed, rather than fashioning wholly new ones.
